The city of La Plata is located about 60 km from Buenos Aires.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Most international flights will arrive at <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ministro Pistarini Airport<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> (a.k.a. Ezeiza Airport\u2014EZE), although flights coming from Argentinian bordering countries (Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia) could also arrive at <\/span><\/span><\/span>Jorge Newbery Airport<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> (a.k.a. Aeroparque\u2014AEP).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>While AEP is in Buenos Aires city, located about 3 km away from downtown, EZE is in Buenos Aires province, about 30 km southeast of downtown Buenos Aires.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

1) From Ezeiza airport (EZE) to La Plata<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

By private shuttle:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em>You can book your place in a private car or a van in advance for a fixed fee. Both foreign currencies and credit cards are accepted. Some drivers speak English, French, Portuguese, or German. Booking your journey at least 24 hours ahead is highly recommended. By fixed fee taxi: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em>You can book an airport taxi at the arrivals public area (inside the airport) for a prefix fee<\/u>. Before the trip, you will pay at their counter (credit card, debit card, or cash). Although there are several companies, this service is not pre-booked, so you may have to wait in line if several flights arrive more or less simultaneously.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

By taxi: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em>You could also take a street taxi outside terminal A. In this case, you should follow the standard recommendations. They do not have a fixed fee<\/span>. A meter on the top right side of the windshield will show you the total amount to be paid, always expressed in local currency. You should ask in advance if credit cards or debit cards are accepted. Some drivers may take foreign currency, but the exchange rate may not be the most convenient.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

1) By taxi\/remis: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em>For a prefix fee, you can book an airport taxi at their desk in the public arrivals area (inside the airport)<\/span><\/span>.<\/u> <\/span>Before the trip, you will pay at their counter (credit card, debit card, or cash). <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

1) Another fixed fee taxi:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Within the airport, find one of the totems with the sign<\/span><\/span><\/span> \u201ctaxis\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>and <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>scan the QR code displayed on it. It will lead you to a website (available languages: English, Spanish, or Portuguese) where you must input your destination, number of passengers, and number of bags, and you\u2019ll get <\/span><\/span><\/span>a fixed fee for your travel<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>. Leave the airport, go to the <\/span><\/span><\/span>official taxi stand<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>, go to the \u201cdomestic flights\u201d area<\/span><\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span><\/span>and let the taxi driver scan the code before departing. You should ask in advance if credit cards or debit cards are accepted. The bus stop is outside the airport on Avenida Costanera. P<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>ublic transportation users (city buses and trains) need a SUBE card. <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>SUBE cards are available at the metro (a.k.a. Subte), train stations, and many kiosks. Cards can be charged with credit at the places mentioned above and national lottery outlets.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2) From Buenos Aires city to La Plata<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0(you will need a SUBE card)<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

2) By bus:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> <\/em>Both cities are well connected via highway by a regular direct bus service provided by the enterprises Metropol (line 195) and Mision Buenos Aires (line 129). <\/span><\/span><\/span>Public transportation users (city buses and trains) will need a SUBE card.<\/b> SUBE cards are available at the metro (a.k.a. Subte), train stations, and many kiosks. Cards can be charged with credit at the places mentioned above and national lottery outlets.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>The frequency of the services is 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends. The journey would take approximately one hour.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
